Mel, sounds like a complete **** up with "the system". Unless you have anything written down giving you the okay, you are most likely I be screwed with everyone else - purely from a QA perspective. Then again you could argue that your job only entails directions from above and nothing more - I.e. as you put it the assumption that if your superior gives you the green light it is assumed that he had the authority from the client to go ahead with the work...

I have to deal with the whole blame game crap everyday with clients and contracts. It is the biggest pain in the arse because people are happy to drag you through **** to blame someone else...

However, sounds like your boss needs to have his arse kicked hard!

I saw that.. the US Anti-Doping Agency needs to back off... They've been pursuing him since like 99... they've had 13 years to prove he was doping... they haven't been able to yet.

But Now his former teammates are happily giving new evidence... Enough for the doping agency to finally hit that nail into the coffin.

Maybe... they've claimed to have new evidence a few times and keep coming back at him...

"The bottom line is I played by the rules that were put in place by the UCI, WADA and USADA when I raced," Armstrong wrote.

"The idea that athletes can be convicted today without positive A and B samples, under the same rules and procedures that apply to athletes with positive tests, perverts the system and creates a process where any begrudged ex-teammate can open a USADA case out of spite or for personal gain or a cheating cyclist can cut a sweetheart deal for themselves.

"It's an unfair approach, applied selectively, in opposition to all the rules. It's just not right."-Lance

The ICU will step in because of this.

"I am a retired cyclist, yet USADA has lodged charges over 17 years old despite its own 8-year limitation. As respected organizations such as UCI and USA Cycling have made clear, USADA lacks jurisdiction even to bring these charges."

Sheesh...

My stand is that I did what I was told to do. I got the problem diagnosed and I got the go ahead from the GM. That's what I was told to do.

I shouldn't have to question every step I'm told to take. But now, it's gonna be scary for me to do stuff like this again. Lack of trust means more work for me just to cover my backside.

Lets going into a court in which the Judge gets to pick the jury on which he believes you are guilty. That is Tygart the leader of the USDA.

Sounds like a typical business Mel. Not condoning the actions, but I'm sure we've all seen it in action a time or two. Unfortunately, people get promoted that have no business being in the positions they hold. Poor communications and bad paper trails (electronic documentation) plague more than one business.

Well... that didn't take long.

Wait... that link isn't what the e-mail article was talking about... stupid WSJ....

"News Alert
from The Wall Street Journal

Lance Armstrong was stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles late Thursday after he refused to fight allegations that he used performance-enhancing drugs.

Thursday, Mr. Armstrong notified the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that he wouldn’t fight the charges the agency brought against him in June, a move that, according to USADA, immediately strips him of all of his athletic titles going back to Aug. 1, 1998, roughly a year before his first Tour de France victory. USADA said Mr. Armstrong is also banned immediately from competing in Olympic and other elite-level sports for the rest of his life."

This whole Armstrong thing is borderline absurd. Someone has an ax to grind and is looking to make a name for themselves. Makes about as much sense as trying to take away Michael Phelps' medals when they allow players from the NBA, NHL and other professional sports teams to compete.

That's my problem... I don't know if Lance ever cheated... I mean the evidence points to no, so I give him the benefit of doubt... but the USADA is going about this entirely wrong... I'm definitely on Lance's side with this whole thing.

While competing, he never tested positive for illegal substances. Case closed. Not like these boobs in baseball today that are getting popped in the middle of the season.
