Don't think I have any photos of me in my sunglasses; maybe Wool or Zane do. Randolph Engineering for me - RayBan temples are just too flimsy. I accidentally stomped on a pair of the REs and just bent them back into shape with no problems.

I used to have the transitions but the fact that they don't change in the car really annoyed me. When I lost my glasses this summer and replaced them I chose not to get the transitions.

My picture is some 20 years back, you must have something in the archives from the last 80 years you can post.

Really? They don't change in the car? I had always though it's a pain to switch them and was looking to switch to the transitions, but the car is where I need them most.

maybe the windscreen has some kind of UV filter in it or something to stop the glasses transition?

It can't be simply "light" activated, otherwise your glasses would transition under a lightbulb at night...

Actually, I didn't want to embarrass you since I still have more hair on my head than you did back in 1990. And can think rings around you.

A quick look at Wiki seems to indicate that it is indeed UV that triggers the transformation. So with the new autoglass being heavily UV resistant, it makes sense that the glasses would not trigger.
