Randolph Engineering for me - RayBan temples are just too flimsy. I accidentally stomped on a pair of the REs and just bent them back into shape with no problems. Jon

When I lost my glasses this summer and replaced them I chose not to get the transitions. Crissa

My picture is some 20 years back, you must have something in the archives from the last 80 years you can post.

I had always though it's a pain to switch them and was looking to switch to the transitions, but the car is where I need them most. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Actually, I didn't want to embarrass you since I still have more hair on my head than you did back in 1990. And can think rings around you. 80 years back they hadn't invented any of the current thread denizens either. Harm wrote in post #15139285 barsteward! Make mine a Laphroiag 18 YO. Jon

It can't be simply "light" activated, otherwise your glasses would transition under a lightbulb at night... A quick look at Wiki seems to indicate that it is indeed UV that triggers the transformation. So with the new autoglass being heavily UV resistant, it makes sense that the glasses would not trigger. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
