He asked for 18 y.o. Nice try.

You sure he was asking for liquor?

Yep. Good old RE Concordes. Several pair of them, several pair of the RE Aviators. All grey lenses.

My brother got transition lenses and was not too happy to find out that they don't change while driving. He drives truck and didn't want to have to deal with sunglasses, but ended up having to anyways. And then, for their wedding pictures, he had to change back to an old set of lenses so that they were clear instead of dark. Says he won't be buying them again.

Well that was a long day at work. Our shop is open 10 1/2 hours a day, I clocked 12 hours today. Had an old guy come in around 3 or 3:30 this afternoon for an oil change. Told me to be careful driving it in as the brakes didn't work well. Got looking at stuff and ended up selling him a full brake job. Was probably working with about 25% braking capacity. Ended up having to do the parking brake shoes, and on this particular vehicle, they are *very* difficult to do. Impossible to do without two people. Manager helped me do them, got himself in trouble with the wife as he was an hour late leaving work. Then I had an F-150 to undercoat. Took forever as the barrel was down to the bottom and the pump kept sucking up air. Didn't punch out till 8:30.

Even with taking Monday off, by the end of Saturday I'll be back up over 45 hours.

Seems I have no rear brakes on my car. Went to stop in the rain the other day and the fronts just locked up, I could tell the rears were still rolling. Must be the reason the light for the brakes is on. I hate doing rear brakes on an old car with drums. You usually pull the drum and have all the rusted to nothing parts fall out. I tried looking for a rear complete or loaded with all the stuff but couldn't find anything.

Did you in the manager get the Mel special looking glass window to work on his brakes?
