45 by tomorrow

its finally fall
maybe for a week lol

We're heading into summer with hot and cold snaps. Sometimes in the mid 90's and then low 70's (that's cool for us;)). Nights are still cool.

Grrrrrrrr, so today, alexander has been bitten, scratched inside his ear cause another kid wanted the toy he had - which drew blood, and now my wife called me to say that she was told that he was scratched on his face as (possibly the same) a kid wanted his pacifier!!

you'd ****ing think that people would be able to use some common ****ing sense over a handbook to "prevent" a recurring issue. I can understand something happening once in a day, but three times? Who is looking at the kids?

I am mega ****ing annoyed.

^^^Even once a day is too much. I agree they should be watching them more if this sort of thing is repeatedly happening.

We went through the same thing with Madi when she was in daycare. The crap of it is they wouldn't tell us who the kid was because of privacy rules. We knew who the kid was but we weren't allowed to even talk to the kids parents. Did they remove the kid from day care over many complaints from us and other parents? Nope. They didn't think it was in the best interest of the child with the issues.

oh yeah, they won't tell us who the kid is - and I don't really care about that.

What I do care about is - "Is it the same kid that is injuring Alexander?"

And believe me, handbook or not, I'll make sure they let me know the answer to that one. Not so I can get mad at the kid/parents - no, we get on with everyone, but more so about making suggestions to help staff better protect not just Alexander but any kid in this scenario. I'd expect them to do the same thing if Alexander were to go crazy on another younger kid.

When we looked at other daycares, some people chose experience over formal education as the driving point of picking their staff - simply because they know the signs when one kid goes after another, so they can help diffuse the scenario before it escalates to one being hurt. Afterall, they are all only wee kiddies (12-15 months old). They just need a little hand to say that some things are not right.

But to allow 3 different incidents to happen to one kid in less than 5 hours is more than a pisstake.
