Y'know at $429 I think I'd be just as happy with the Nexus, especially once they release a 32 gb model.

16Gb at $329 isnt bad if you dont need the extra GB's.

But a 16GB Nexus is $70 less than that.

Nice pick up Crissa. He will enjoy it. I put it through its paces. Ran videos, web browsing, games, and reading applications on it. Everything was smooth. My only minor complaint had nothing to do with the OS but rather the physical placement of the control keys on the side of the kindle. They are tough to locate. Minor complaint in an other wise nice product.

We read books on my android phone with the kindle app, I think he will really like having his own that he can also play games and browse with. He loves Minecraft, I need to see if he can play with it.

Alexander loves to learn letters and words on the ipad, let alone watch sesame street snippets on YouTube!

Hangar Man Cave?

Yes Please!

Win the lottery. Get a little cub too.

My spawn are getting used ipad gen ones for Christmas. I was going to go with the kindle fire but I found a used ipad one on ebay not much over the cost of a new fire. And, I have my gen one so I'm treating myself to the three and handing mine off to the spawn. We already have lots of learning apps and stuff and i'm loath to repurchase.
