Is it a nice Hovel at least? :)

Nice is a relative term. It is clean and functional in a decent enough neighborhood but I don't think I would put it high on the nice scale. I knew I was going to be in here for some time so my criteria was the cheapest place to stay as possible. This place is $25 a night, has internet, fridge, stove, sink, bed, and bathroom. Ticks off all the basics. I'll post some pics shortly.

People should really think about what they upload:

I fully support everyone who chooses to express an opinion no matter how stupid or tasteless I believe it to be.

I also fully support all those who feel the need to point out how stupid and tasteless the above persons opinion might be as well.

She posted something stupid, she needs to take the heat and stop whining.

Very true, but I don't think it approaches the level of her being placed on unpaid leave from her job. Many employers are way hypersensitive about how the actions of their employees might reflect on their businesses, no matter how unrelated to the job the action might be.

Good point. She was not speaking as a representative of her employer.

I agree. Sure, she's an idiot and deserves all of the backlash she's getting from the public at large, but what she did had nothing to do with her employer. I don't see that they have any right to punish her for something she did on her own time.

Perhaps, but according to the LIFE press release, she was in DC as part of a company outing. If she was on company time when she did this....

Everyone has the right to express themselves but nobody is absolved from the consequences of their actions.

If what you want to do is more important than what could happen to you for doing it, then do it. Just don't complain when you find your actions put you in the minority.

I'm going to take a slightly different tack here as one whose sense of humor has occasionally gotten me into trouble after saying or doing something really stupid. Like this person, I've had to live with the consequences, and that's only fair. There is a point, however, where I think it is safe to say the lesson has probably been learned, and going forward, it might be helpful to know a little more about the woman before we all brand her as a horrible person. Clearly she demonstrated questionable judgment, but what I see is an incredibly awkward attempt at satire, and not an intentional disrespect of fallen soldiers.

Let's not ruin a life for one act of stupidity before we better understand the person in question.

I choose not to pile on.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

She wasn't there on her own time. She was there as a paid representative of her company....accompanying a group of clients that included veterans. Her actions are a reflection of the company and they are certainly within their rights to suspend and even terminate her. Yes, she is entitled to express her opinion, but she also needs to know that there can be repercussions to going well beyond any socially accepted norm.

TV and internet time. Wishing I didn't have to go to work for the rest of the week, I just want to sleep. I've dealt with too many truck tires lately, my shoulders hurt. A day of small cars would be nice!
