What I found amazing is that with all the movement of their bodies, there eyes din't move at all. Watch it again just looking at the head. It's almost completely motionless.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

That's the method I use most of the time. It's nice because you can then go on the layer and remove sharpening from places where it does more harm than good, the sky for instance. All sharpening does for sky is make the noise more visible.

I think for LR you can use the sharpening brush and apply selective sharpening only to the areas needed.

Close to what i do as well. I take it a step further with a layer mask and remove sharpening from where i dont want it (bokeh areas usually).

that is what I noticed too. Such a still head with minimal movement, and sheer concentration with the eyes.

I think for LR you can use the sharpening brush and apply selective sharpening only to the areas needed.

In light room you can also use the option/alt key in the sharpening section. This allows you to visually see where you are applying the sharpening and can really hone it in to what you want. I use this when i dont want to go into photoshop.

It is explained in this link in option 4

I've seen Cheetahs run in person, but you can't get the full appreciation of how they move because it all happens too fast.

How did you run so fast while shooting over your shoulder? That's quite impressive. ;)

Maybe it was that pound of bacon you had in your pocket.
