I guess when the front ones go out they will cost about $1100 ea. to replace. The service adviser acted as if he'd never heard of one going out on the CX-9, the internet on the other hand makes it sound like a real problem, some of them only lasting 20k miles. We have 64k on ours. My Probe is 20 and has it's original bearings as well as every other vehicle I have ever owned.

That sounds odd. They must be significantly different than the Edge. Ford issued a TSB about the rear bearings on them. I haven't seen the fronts to yet. $1100 sounds steep.

Nice looking bike, Tom.

It takes much less time to catch up around here than it used to......

Congratulations! (Maybe now I can work you on 20 meters or something...)

Maybe after Christmas? I suspect 40 meters would be better.

Good on you Tim, in another couple of weeks you will be wondering how you managed to get the time to go to work! Enjoy.

My dad keeps telling me that too.

Congrats!

*jealous* :p

Thank you all for the good wishes. Right now, being retired feels a little strange, but I'm sure I'll adapt quickly.

Well it's 8 am here at work. So many people said that they were going to be here at 7:30 and there's no one yet. Maybe I'll get time to put my snow tires on today.

Perhaps...

I'm headed over to a friend's house this morning. He's going to give a brand new Alinco 6 meter radio and antenna. Thing is, I have no idea where I'm going to put the antenna. I'm running out of space...

Running out of space? John, you're just going to have to get a tower. Then you can stack 70cm, 2M, 6M and 10-40 meter HF beams.

I just fired up my HF radio and there's no RF output. I think Bella got into the wiring behind the desk. Unfortunately, the desk is such a mess, that I need to clean it up first before I can get behind it to check the wiring.

I was bummed that I didn't get a 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any category this year but, if you look at the thumbnail under "Current Edition" at the right, that's my shot ON THE FREAKING COVER!!! :D
