I know it supports up to 8 (as its mentioned on apple site) then googled it and saw lots of people using 16 GB without any issues.

I put 16GB in my friend's early 2011 13" MBP and it works without any issues. If larger RAM chips ship after that release date Apple does not update the computer's specification. If OWC says 16 gb, then it'll work. Those guys know their business. "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Jun 29, 2012 13:15 | #5 I don't know why they are holding this information? Maybe a support issue but it is a HUGE selling point for creative professionals. Then again their new MacBooks are 16GB so it would be competing against youself i guess.
