He was only 13, but he developed lymphoma and stopped eating. We tried all kinds of food and stimulants, but he decided he was ready to go. Thank you all for your kind words - Letting go or our furkids is part of the job. Doesn't make it any easier.

StudioAbe BAAAAAAN!!! More info | Dec 13, 2014 11:34 | #4364 Our Tiger has been sick since Thursday morning. He threw up everything he ate on Thursday and on Friday morning. Did have the vet look at him yesterday morning and had the fluid given to him subcutaneously. He's lost a little over 10% of his body weight, nothing obvious, like blockage or ingestion, revealed by x-ray; blood test result shows that he has slightly elevated liver value, which is understandable given his weight loss. He's slept all day and night and continues to do so since the vet visit -- though he did manage to keep a little of what he ate this morning, a good sign. Our house is very quiet since he is the most vocal of three kitties, and he's put himself on energy conservation mode by remaining very subdued. A worrying situation but I feel optimistic that he'll recover. Any similar stories or experiences?
