Steve, I'm so sorry to hear about your baby Zeke! Man, I know the paint. He is over the rainbow now. RIP, lovely boy.

I was not going to post this at first, but then I realized that if any group would understand it would be this one. We had to put our Zeke to sleep today. He had deteriorated very quickly the last few weeks, losing weight and becoming very lethargic. We took him to the vet today, and xrays showed a large tumor. My wife and I have medical backgrounds, and we did not want our poor kittie to suffer like so many people we have seen. He could hardly stand and had stopped eating, and we decided to let him go peacefully. He was a wonderful friend and companion for his 15 years, and we miss him terribly. RIP my sweet boy. So sorry to hear this. I completely understand. Trust me, I know.......I put up the fight with our last one trying to "help" it. Thousands of dollars later, I realized I was fighting a losing battle and could have been making her suffer just so I could hold on a little longer. Now when I look back, it makes me feel even worse knowing that. You definitely made the right choice for him I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy it!!

Jan 31, 2016 21:10 | #6222 I would like to thank everyone who expressed their sympathy for our loss of Zeke. To hear from strangers who share a common bond is a wonderful thing. Embrace those who seek the truth; run from those who claim to have found it.
