Oh no, Renata! I hope she turns up soon. Could she have gotten under your house or in a shed or something? Like Pete said, maybe she got "stuck" someplace and hasn't found her way out. Have you checked animal control to make sure they haven't picked her up? Was she micro-chipped? I really hope she turns up for you.
My favorite stray kitty who'd been coming around for about 4 years or so disappeared a couple of months ago. We don't have many coyotes around here, and I don't think that's what happened to him. I worry that my neighbor's obnoxious barking dog may have gotten him. That dog has turned in to a royal PITA. I can't even be out in my backyard without his barking at me, and he barks when the strays come for food too. I have another name for him, but I won't say it here. If you saw "The Jerk", you can guess it pretty easily.
Fingers crossed that Missy turns up for you! On a happier note... here's one of my Bashful chilling out at the top of the stairs on a kitty scratcher this afternoon.
Lisa, we have checked everything! And I mean I turned the world here upside down. No way to be under a house; homes here have no basements and there are on concrete slabs. I have walked and driven miles around, called etc. Normally, when she was outside, I just opened the door and called "Missy" and here she was, within seconds.
She has a micro-chip. Every vet within a radius of 15 miles has been approached and made aware of her identity, every shelter, animal control etc. has been approached and alarmed. I just don't know what else to do. We are part of Next Door where people communicate and I have approached thousands of neighbors that are on that website, numerous posters have been posted everywhere. I must have printed 500 of them. Trouble with Missy is that she is super friendly and not afraid of people. I'm still hopeful!
Your stray kitty is beautiful and I can only hope that she was "adopted" by a friendly, loving soul
