Thank you. We knew this day would be coming, but we weren't expecting it to be so sudden.

Rest in Peace

Mel was my Dad's cat before he passed away. I adopted him and discovered several months later when he was having difficulty breathing that he had FIV. He was such a sweet kitty and enjoyed coming into my shop so that he could watch the Birds of Paradise (external link) on my computer. The day before, he was "helping" me plant tomatoes in the garden.

Bill, I'm so sorry about Mellow Yellow. I know it's hard. My heart goes out to you.

Here's a pic I shot on my new cell phone yesterday. I decided I needed to try out the camera and editing solely on the phone. This was with my Galaxy S7 and Lightroom Mobile. Junior was a good model waiting for goodies. I have to say, LR mobile is pretty cool, and the camera on the S7 has some neat features. I need to play with that some more. Now I just need to figure out how to resize on the phone. Saving it in a smaller resolution was the only thing I didn't do on the phone. :-o

Thanks, Sandra. My Junior's a sweetie (and goody monster). My previous phone was an S4, and it never wowed me with its photos either. The S7 has some nice features that I'm discovering. My S4 was starting to act up a bit, so I decided it was time to upgrade. I plan on doing some more testing of the phone & video this week.

Here's one more pic from the phone with minimal editing in the phone. This was Muffin on an excursion in the backyard. She loves to eat grass when I take her out on the leash. Again, I resized on the computer for POTN, but that's all.

BTW, Pete, I love that you did a basket for Cooper with goodies/treats in the eggs. What a cool idea!

Very nice from a phone. My S5 also takes good photo's but I'm not sure they are as good as this.

She's so cute, but that leash almost looks like a snake! How old are your girls now, Sandra, 2?

BTW. I did some more testing with the phone today. It does take some amazing photos, but it sucks the life out of the battery! I went out in the yard at about 90%+ charge & messed around for maybe 15-20 mins taking pix. When I looked at the charge indicator, it was down to 30%!

That sounds like my new Canon 7D Mark II ... a real battery draining hog ... but takes incredible images.

Here's one of one of the stray kitties that visit and that I feed & care for. I had her spayed about 3 years ago now. She used to fuss at her kittens and the other cats that came around, so she earned the nickname "Bitchy Momma". :-) Oddly enough, of the strays who come around, she lets me pet her more than any of the others. She's at my back door almost every morning. I really liked the framing of the blackberry bushes around her.
