Yes, of course there are places that are 'not allowed'. I'm not saying that they pay any heed (especially the mischievous orange male), but there are such places. They KNOW there are such places. Sometimes I think that they perversely seek those specific places out because they are not allowed. Gilmore knows that he is not supposed to go on the test equipment rack, as he's made to vacate it every time I catch him there. Care to guess where one of his favorite spots is? (Apologies for the crappy iPhone pics, but it's what was handy.)

Yeah, that's my favorite of the bunch, too - I love the way the front paws, back feet, tail and head are all angled down and to the left. Wish I'd captured it with the SLR rather than the iPhone, but at the same time, the pic from the iPhone is better than NO pic, and the SLR wasn't readily at hand at the time.

As for the test equipment, evilBay has not been kind to my credit card, but it's pretty cool to be able to get what was top of the line, insanely expensive pro level industrial test gear for literally pennies on the dollar relative to its original cost when it was new. Granted most of it was new between 20 and 50 years ago, but still... It's a fun challenge to clean, restore, and occasionally troubleshoot and repair it. (Yeah, I have weird interests! )

And as for contortions, I think Gilmore's sister Pixel has a rubber spine. This is her waking up from a nap on the bath mat. Yes, she does sometimes sleep in that position!!
