Sad tale - Happy tale The sad one is about Flynn, our 16 year old tuxedo. I finally can write this after two weeks. This is my last photo of him. He stopped eating and even though all of his test results were good, he just kept losing weight. We could not let him suffer, so we had to put him to sleep on March 13. We miss him so much...RIP Flynn our wonderful friend...you will always be remembered.
The happy tale is about our gray cat, Bruce. On February 12, our visiting 2 year old grandson opened the door for him (they have an indoor/outdoor cat), and we could not find him. After 2 days we had to leave for NY for our daughters wedding, but I had a LOT of people in our community looking for him. When we came back, he had still not been found. Late in the evening of March 9, I looked on a shelter website, and found his picture! A very kind man who with others keeps tabs on a local feral colony 2 miles away recognized that he had a non-feral cat on his hands (Bruce came up to him and just rolled over at his feet). After a few phone calls we went over and picked him up. This gentleman and his wife didn't even let us pay for the vet bill when they had him checked out for a severe upper respiratory infection! It is almost Karma that Flynn held on until we found Bruce.
