That is a mouse that got into the house. Yes, it was alive in this photo. As you can see, my cat, being a Ragdoll, did not see the live mouse as prey but merely as an interesting object.

That mouse must not be too bright then to go up to your cat. Unless that's a pet mouse, I've seen those videos.

It didn't go up to my Ragdoll. My black cat, who is extremely predatory with mice (although a sweetheart with people), had discovered it and tossed it across the room, where it landed at my (mostly uninterested) Ragdoll's feet. I hope it wasn't someone's pet mouse, but as far as I know it wasn't.

I had to say goodbye to my lil girl Reba today. Got so sick so fast there was nothing to do. It's never easy.

So sad to hear, they are members of our family and letting go is so hard.
