Willard just got out of a week stay in the hospital for what is speculated as gastritis. Suddenly stopped eating. Minor ultrasound, x-ray, then major ultra sound all came back negative. Possible minor IBD, but doesn't exhibit the signs. After meds for nausea, apatite stimulant, anti diarrhea, and antibiotics he is finally eating again. Hopefully he'll continue as he lost .32 kilo's in the hospital. All the vets and techs at the emergency hospital were great, they all fell in love with Willard, he's such a lover boy. No Alaska vacation for the wife and I this year after the bill came due, but we have Willard back.

Thanks everyone! Willard is eating and doing really well, I can't believe the difference. His older sister (same parents) stopped eating friday, I took her to the vet this am, vet says no apparent issues, maybe missing her brother. They're doing a blood work to be sure, I hope to pick her up in the hour.

I hope she gets better soon. I wonder if something in the food they eat has contributed to the problem.

Thank you for thinking of her, I'll give her a scratch on the chin for you.;-)a

She has non food allergies that we believe put her in a state of anorexia, along with missing her brother while he was in the hospital. She's back home and starting to eat on her own with help of anti nausea and appetite stimulant medications. Praying that she keeps it up. All of our cats are indoor cats eating a mix of prescription food, hydrolyzed food and the same Fancy Feast they've been eating for a few years now.

Very odd, especially with two of them doing it.
Best wishes for both and both of you
