Now if only Apple would/could/can fix the portrait mode in their iPhones so it does't decide whiskers are part of the background and not foreground:rolleyes:

It's funny, he looks so menacing in that picture, but in reality, he is a tiny little thing. He is our wild backyard kitty, so we can't ever get close to him except to feed him, but he is WAY smaller than our house cats, Lenny and Carl (especially Lenny  ). He sort of came with the house and has been living in our yard for over 10 years now.

These are beautiful Martin
I've been watching your posts for a while. I gather these are wild but bit domesticated.
Do you ever get near them, or they keep their distance?

The grey one certainly showing his credentials :p

They're feral but I give them some food (but not too much to make them complacent) and a place to stay (shelter from the rain, wind, etc). They come and go as they please. They're essentially barn cats. I have a 5 acre bahia grass field so there's lots of mice and snakes. I keep the feral cats happy because they keep good pressure on the mice and snakes. They're kind of spooky but the two older ones are super tame and will come rub on me. After enough feeds, they all will generally let me be close, and touch while feeding. But when they're in a mood and having a good play, you can't get near them. But I enjoy their play battles.

When they're little you see them just appear leaping out of the tall grass after big grass hoppers. Later they're digging up moles and gophers. After that, they catch rabbits, lizards, frogs, mice, snakes, etc. But eventually most of that stuff just stays out of the field and I always know when something new is in the field because the cats will circle it all day. We walk around the field without fear of a rattle snake thanks to keeping the cats around.

Very best,
