1. One of the close-ups.

2. "Birds do it, bees do it, even educated fleas do it ...". A unique situation that lasted only about 4-5 seconds before she decided she didn't want a suitor. I managed to take 3 frames and in the first two her face was obscurred by the large grass stem. I just wish that she had turned her head towards me in this shot. :(

3. Pulled something juicy out of the mud! I forgot my flash in the car! :o I'll likely try to improve this using a layers mask.

IMAGE: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s219/Squidcan/Birds2/Kildeer_08.jpg

4. One of my favourites with a nice head angle and good light.

Bird photography sure has its challenges, as you displayed. But isn't it great when it all comes together, as in the last image. Nice. And if you can "fix" the worm shot, whoohoo.

Great series of shots Stephen love the low angles and water in the image.

They are fast and try to scare you away, when near... Their feigning and attack tactics keep me at a distance... At the pond, I can't get within 50 yards of 'em... My fav is the double decker, and 1 and 4...Good Work!!

The first and last shots work best for me Stephen...excellent. There was a lot of activity in that area yesterday and I don't think the mating rituals are done yet.

Wonderful shots Stephen. #3 is still great, you did well with that backslighting and no flash.
