I just clicked submit on my order at Adorama for the following:

  • 60D
  • 28 f/1.8
  • 50 f/1.4
  • 85 f/1.8
  • (2) Sandisk 32 GB Class 10 SD cards
  • Black Rapid RS7 strap
  • Think Tank Urban Disguise 60 V2.0

I am feeling a bit nervous about that cost, but I think I will really enjoy the setup and I think those lenses will really help me fill the photo albums of good shots of the family, etc.

Thanks to everyone for your input on my gear questions. I will probably be posting again early 2013 regarding gear upgrades, but for now I hope to shoot a lot and post a lot of images for critique. Thanks again.

Congrats! I'm sure the excitement over powers the nerves though! ;) I can't wait until I can move up on body too, but I think I'll stck to stock piling lenses first.

Congrats!!! Very nice selection of gear. I'm a big fan of prime lenses and really believe that they are worth the effort of changing rather than using zooms.

I am curious about why you felt a need for two 32gb SD cards???? Maybe they've just gotten very inexpensive - I don't know since my cameras (so far) only take CF cards (except my aging SX10 IS) where I find 8gb to be plenty).

Whatever your reasons, I'm sure you will enjoy the new gear enormously -

Peace,
D.

Wow, what a nice picture! You must have a really great camera!

Thanks guys. Im definitely excited. I got two cards just to have a backup. They are pretty cheap, relatively speaking, and the peace of mind is worth it. As far as cost...a few bucks...

Man, I cannot wait any more. The package is in Nashville, the city in which it will be delivered, but I won't get it until tomorrow due to the holiday. Oh well, what's one more day? At least I'll have it for my anniversary outing with my wife on Friday...

Any tips on photographing gear? I'd like to use my XT, one of the lenses in my sig, and my OCFs to get a decent shot of all the toys..er....tools I just bought. Thanks in advance.....

You have some massive sig updating to do.

I know exactly how you feel, my package is also getting dropped off tomorrow with a new shiny 70-300L.

Adorama has had a good week from POTN, lol.

I love my 60D, are you going to sell off some of your other gear now?
