Man, I cannot wait any more. The package is in Nashville, the city in which it will be delivered, but I won't get it until tomorrow due to the holiday. Oh well, what's one more day? At least I'll have it for my anniversary outing with my wife on Friday...

Any tips on photographing gear? I'd like to use my XT, one of the lenses in my sig, and my OCFs to get a decent shot of all the toys..er....tools I just bought. Thanks in advance.....

I'm sure you can't wait, it's always the same with any new gear :D

You had better treat your wife to a great night on Friday so that she doesn't get too mad at you for neglecting her soon

@Keyan: Yes, Adorama has had a good week indeed. I don't think I will sell any gear. I will probably keep the XT, the 18-55, and the 50 f/1.8 in a smaller bag in my car for those times when I need a camera but don't have my best gear. This is just a hobby for me, and I don't buy new gear unless I can afford it without selling old gear to fund it. I like the idea of having backups, so I will probably keep it all. That is a trend for me...I have 5 flyrods, 3 .22 rifles, 4 shotguns, 3 muzzleloaders, 2 centerfire rifles, 3 bow (with dozens of arrows), the list goes on. Fortunately for me, most of the hunting/fishing equipment were gifts from Dad...

@butcherman: good luck with the waiting. I am sure it will be worth. I imagine you'll be having a pretty fun weekend...

Congrats on all of the new gear! You're going to love it!

As far as shooting the new toys, for individual pics, I'd use the 50 f/1.8 @ f/2.8. If you want a 'group' shot, I'd use the 18-55 IS @ f/5.6 - f/8 depending on how they are spaced out.

Enjoy your new toys!

The eagle has landed. Lol. I received the package today and I am very excited and very pleased with my choices, so far. The build quality of the 60D and the lenses, as well as the Urban Disguise, are amazing. A true upgrade to my current kit. I will post a thread with images of my gear in the next week or so. We are busy packing for an out of state move, but hopefully I can get out to shoot some in the next few weeks. Thanks again to everyone for input and advice.

Awesome!
