I'm delighted to finally say I own a 300mm f2.8 L IS, something I've sorely needed, will no longer have to rely upon the 70-200 for sports!
Was a great deal, just over £2.5k from DigitalRev, wasn't even charged duty, an absolute bargain!

It's a superb bit of glass... it's also very hand-holdable as well - I found it increasingly useful for speedway last season, so you'll certainly have some fun with it at the cycling you cover.
