RDKirk,

You may offer me advice on photography which I will gladly accept, however, unless you are an IPSC master or grandmaster, (I am an A shooter), I'd appreciate it if you would withhold your firearms advice. I have included a link to speed reloading in case you are interested.

Regards,

Rick

Well, Rick, You were the one who brought pistolcraft into the thread.

I've been shooting .45 ACP (including handloading) since 1978, but, no, I'm not an IPSC master. It's just a hobby for me.

Yet, I do know that if someone does with a magazine what you did with a CF card--jam it in backwards and keep pounding hard enough bend something--nobody who is an IPSC master or even an A shooter is going to extend any pity for such stupidity.

Now that is old school! ;)

Actually xcopy is better!

I use a BAT file (an executable file using DOS commands such as xcopy) as the quickest way to copy files from a card. By just clicking on the desktop icon shortcut it automatically loads all the files into separate folders for JPEGs, CR2 and MOV files, then deletes them from the card.

Dead simple (once you've written the original BAT file) and much faster than using a downloading program or a cable. Of course unless you're a real old timer you may not know what the heck I'm talking about. Using DOS commands seems to be almost a lost art - but DOS still works!
