Here's a photo of Canon's backup gear shelves at European Athletics championships that are currently going on in Helsinki. Photogs can get a spare while waiting for their own to be repaired.

I don't see any T3i's or 18-55mm kit lenses. Odd.

Probably because in Europe they are named differently? ;)

Its not odd at all, the reason you dont see them is because the phototogs are using them and this pic shows the backup kit :-)

Why are there tilt/shift lenses there?? I never thought they would be a sports lens, not to mention they aren't even weather sealed, so who would use one in the wet? I wouldn't even do that.

Tilt/shift lenses are used quite often in sports. Here are some samples:

Sometimes these images look good and sometimes it's just a trick. There is always a need to publish photos that look different than what we have been used to.

Thanks for the link, ppusa, and for one sentence translated into English. The Google translator resulted in an almost completely unintelligible story! Huge investment in equipment and technical backup, incredible really.

I see three, a 45mm TS-E, a 90mm TS-E, and what looks like a 100mm macro ore maybe the 100mm f/2

What are the two lenses to the left of the TS-Es?

100 macro, maybe for the one on the extreme left? But neither looks like a 100 f2, swldstn.

Reminds me of the prize wall at a carnival... "you win! you can choose anything on the.... bottom shelf!"

Surprised to see some non-1D bodies.

All the pretty stuff is hidden in cases.
