Before it snowed, I took my last oppritunity to take nice bug photos. Here are the results. Both were with the crappy stock lens on my 350D XT. But, I like them just the same!

I like the hard lighting on the last shot, and the grain makes it look more extreme to the situation, I think.

#1 is ok but usually better if you can see the eyes where insects are concerned. 2 and 3 are too lacking in detail to be of interest - looks like you used high iso to get a decent shutter speed, flash is better. Kit lens needs an extension tube or close up lens attached to get good results.

Yeah, don't you hate it when they won't turn around? :) I like the first one, but the first two could benefit greatly from some Unsharp Mask in post production.
