Hi, I've just been trying to make a nice preset for baby photos and have had some luck but I would like to know if anyone knows of some presets that are available for free download.

Please share your ideas, or steer me to the right thread.

Thanks, Jason

I can't think of any presettable parameters that a baby photo should have other than wide radius sharpening.

I was thinking maybe softening and warming, i've played around a bit with a few photos but not quite got the look I'm after. I've found a bunch of presets for wedding photography that you have to pay for but nothing much for baby pics

Well, I'm not a portrait photog, so can only give a "general" suggestion.

Take a photo and do your best, then post a "Before" shot and then the shot that you have worked on, and post either a screen shot of your various adjustments or a detailed explanation of what you have done, tell us how you would like the photo improved, and see what kind of input you get!

And, if you upload your original to a site like YouSendIt.com and post a link here, people could download the file and mess with it and post their results!

If all you have to work with is Lightroom, make sure you specify that, otherwise people will come out with "photoshopped" results that may not help you!

O.K., but it seems to me that warming would be done through the WB and the new warm WB and the amount of its deviation from the neutral WB would depend on the lighting, so unless the lighting is constant it doesn't seem like something that could be put in a preset. And I have to note that although I'm not a baby portrait photographer, some of the few I have shot were naturally pretty red and needed a little cooling to look human. And as for softening, the bundled Brush presets (I'm assuming LR/ACR) include one for softening (that I think is too strong and I use it at 50% opacity.)

Hi Jason,
Google "coffee shop blog" There you will find lots of download plug-ins for LR and PSE. They are mainly for babies but there are others also. Hope that is helpful to you.
