If you can't afford it you still need to get it now!

How does one go about getting the rebate (x3) if you did'nt buy all three lenses at the same time? once you've sent in the rebate for one lens will they give you another rebate when you send in for the second? for instance last week I bought an 85mm and thought I was going to buy a sigma 12-24 so I got th 85 and sent in the paperwork. then I got the sigma and i hated it so I bought the 17-40 this weekend- how can I still get my double rebate on the 85? Please let me know I could use the cash.

Oh, I haven't turned in my rebates for all the stuff I bought. Its been barely a week since I got my XT and f4L. I doubt you could do what you're trying to do, ie adding rebates to the rebate u already sent in. But yeah, thanks for the advice on photocopying upc codes and rebate forms.

But yes, most definitely will be getting the 85mm. Will order it probably next week. The low light advantage does appeal to me too. And in general, its just an easier lens to use for portraits when I borrow it from my buddy.

I thought I read somewhere where you can add on rebate/s to those already turned in. Check out the web page for it.

The more you make it complicated, the more likely Canon will find a way to screw you over, since they are so, grrrr..... with their rebates.

I went web-rebates.com/canon and looked under the FAQ and it seems that you can mail different rebates in, bought at different times ,and from different dealers. They say they will calculate how much you have coming back to you. The only thing that must match is the customer information.
