When registering images with the U.S. Copyright Office, do I need to register multiple versions of the same image?

For instance, would I need to register both the B&W and color version of the same image or just one of them? If I decide to add a border and text to an already registered image, would I need to register the bordered version as well?

Thank you for any insight on this matter.

Yes. The copyright covers derivations.

I normally use a towel to cover mine (while changing out of my swimming trunks).

Just make a jpeg from the RAW with nothing enhanced and upload that for registration.

Later on, even if you photoshop it to death, it's all good as long as you can tell the registered untouched image is the same as the final image.
