The thread at https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1202025 mentions this recent development. Anyone else experience this change?

It was getting silly anyways. Easy to buy a broken canon for $10 on craigslist that wasnt even worth $100 new, then get hundreds in discount for a 5D2

Photography is not defined by what gear you own.

I just bought a 60D and 70-300 USM through the Canon loyalty program but the truth is that you can buy that lens on discount elsewhere for no more than I paid through the CLP. Considering that my 60D only had 25 actuations, I'm still very pleases but.....

Canon 60D, Canon 30D with grip, EF 70-300 IS USM, Tokina AT-X Pro 100 f/2.8 macro, EF 100-400 1:4.5-5.6L, EF-S 15-85 IS USM, Sigma 50 f2.8 macro EX, 430 EX II

Im glad I got my 60d back in December.
Its sad that the program is no longer such a good deal.
I guess all good things must end sometime.
