Thanks to all. Was shocked to find this one on beach this morning. Only able to get a few shots before some idiot walked up and flushed it. He couldn't be bothered to walk around me as I was taking pictures. Yes beak is lost in sea-grass on first shot. This bird is listed as threaten or endangered depending on location so was thrilled to find and get some pic's

I like the second. On the first, the beak get's lost in the background and I spent a distracted moment trying to figure it out. The second is beautiful!

Very nice,,,they have a nesting site,,along the Lake Michigan shore,, in the Nahma area,,that i have been to many times,,,one of my birding sites to visit every year.. Ron
