I hope this isn't a thread that has already been done. I searched and didn't find one.

Someone in the 7D firmware upgrade thread said that this will mean that much longer before they release a 7D MKII.

I am so very pleased with my 7D that the only feature I would request is a mode lock. Many times while shooting I find my camera switched to some other mode that I didn't choose. However, I wouldn't pay for a new one just to get that feature.
Other than that, I don't have anything on my wish list for a MarkII.

What features would you like on a 7D MKII??

oh, it's been done a "few" times, lol! Check the rumors section where these threads normally reside and where this one will more than likely end up.

But since you asked:

10fps
integrated vertical grip
dual CF slots
61pt af
1-2 stops improved ISO performance
5-7 exposure bracketing
better weather sealing

I'm sure I'll think of more later :)

Isn't there a mode dial lock option for the 7D?

So you can have that feature retrofitted to your camera if you want it...

Turns out a gripped 7D + 622 + 580exII + 70-200 2.8 IS MK2 is BLOODY HEAVY! Who knew?!!

I'd agree on the mode lock button but also I don't like the fact that the burst rate slows down based on exposure, otherwise better high ISO.

Isn't that just physics though?

I guess I better look into that retrofit mode lock. That thing has lost me some good shots in action situations where it "don't come back around".

So you want a 1D Mark IV for 1500? Sounds great!

I'd be thrilled with 8-10fps and 1.3x crop in the same body.
