Some of you may know that I have a passion for whales. I go whale watching every weekend and take tons of pictures. Well, whenever I show my pics to my friends and famiy I always get compliments and the typical "you should really sell your pictures" comments. Now, I KNOW that this what FRIENDS and FAMILY are pretty much programmed to say so I never really put much thought into it.

However, I have started to expand my photography to scenic shots and other nature stuff. Now I'm considering it starting a Zenfolio website. I'm just curious if this site really does work for selling prints. I realize this is not a get rich quick scheme, but if I could at least sell enough photos to pay for my membership I'd be happy with that!

For those of you who shoot nature and wildlife, do you have decent success in selling your work through Zenfolio? I do realize your shots and my shots will be different and that just because you sell "x" amount of prints doesn't mean I will. I'm just curious is all. :)

I'm a very satisfied Zen user.

I don't do prints (I'm in Australia so it's not really suitable getting a 4x6 printed and shipped internationally) but I do design my own products and do self fulfilment here in Oz.

It is really easy to use and set up and the customer front end is all completely built in and ready to go.

Link to my Zen is in my sig.

Thanks for the input. I think I'm going to give it a go. Worst case if it doesn't work out, I'll just shut it down after my year expires.

Now to think of a domain name... I'm not good with that stuff. LOL
