The tilted ocean kills the shot, in my opinion. It's too discordant from one's perceptions. Better to put a drop shadow on the shell instead of the vignette-like thing that you have. It looks like the shell was pasted in. The non-linear blur effect on the sand caught my eye too -- and not in a good way. It makes it look like a Lens Baby shot. They generally make my skin crawl. As for the pose, don't you have any shots where she's not sucking on her dress and there's some eye contact with the camera? Lastly, as a baby picture, she doesn't take up a lot of real estate. Joe
