Hi fellow members:
I've been looking around (and done some searches..and the search engine on here is lame), and this is my last resort.

I'm looking for the "standard/stock" focusing-screen (new)...for my 1D Mk II. I don't want split-prism, or any other specialty screens. I've looked at Katzeye, and a few others..as well as Canon's own.

I found this one link to Calumet (external link)..but it still doesn't state if it's the "standard" screen.:(

Does anybody know for sure, what part number the standard Canon screen for the 1D Mk II is? If you do, could you be so kind as to share with i, and possibly some others?

Thanks :)
Kel

The one you posted will fit your camera, but it isn't the original screen. Canon Ec-S is the one that originally comes with your camera. http://www.bhphotovideo.com …Ec_S_Focusing_Screen.html (external link)

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Sorry Patrick but I don't think that's right. The Ec-S is for use with fast lenses f1.8-f2.8 and lenses slower than this cause a very dark image in the viewfinder.

The stock screen for the 1D series is the Ec-C. I think for the Mark II it was the Ec-CIII but when the Mark III came out this was upgraded to the EC-CIV.

YN2-9547-000 is what you're looking for... they looking pretty thin on the ground though.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
