T4i was out for a bit now, and I am curious to learn how it compares to the previous Rebel bodies. I did look at T4i thread but it mainly shows how great T4i is (no doubt) but not what are actual real world improvements or differences vs previous Rebels.

So, if you just got it to replace the previous Rebel, what are the differences ? Is centerpoint mode AF any better (faster / more accurate) ? Are there improvements in dynamic range or high ISO ? Is fulltime AF in video easy to use, or is it still a challenge ? Does the new Rebel play nicely with 3rd party lenses ?

Maybe this article is helpful, I think the majority of improvements are in its features more than IQ.

The comments in dpreview's comparison shots are mostly criticizing the site for the out of focus shots of the t4i/650d

Yes, it looks like ISO 1600 is definitely OOF.

Comparing the RAW images, it looks like the T3i/600D beats the new T4i/650D in the noise dept. Maybe the actual production sample will fare better.
