This is going to be a thread where I keep all of my best shots of Rylin from 2 to 3 years old. This year she will become a big sister and learn a lot of fun new tricks!

I'm going to start with this shot I took when we were shooting the last day of her 367 project.

Sure! First, I made 3 different adjustment layers. A exposure layer, a b&W layer and a curves layer with a cross processing style. Here is a video explaining the baseline look you're after. Video (external link)

After I get the feel from adjusting each layer to my liking I took a color sample from her skirt and made a new Screen layer with that layer. Then I took another color sample from the greenery in the foreground and made another screen layer. Then I erased the center to make a vignette with that subtle green color. Both SCREEN layers were adjusted between 5-15% opacity.

That's about it! Hope it works out for you!

She looks so cute in her little stars-n-stripes sun dress.

That was like reading Chinese to me. Hopefully one day I can get there an attempt one of the layers youre talking about. =) I'm still on what you taught me months ago with the basics on ACR and whitening the eyes and teeth on PS. Love love looking at your pics...keep them coming so I can keep learning. Thanks!
