Sure! First, I made 3 different adjustment layers. A exposure layer, a b&W layer and a curves layer with a cross processing style. Here is a video explaining the baseline look you're after. Video (external link)

After I get the feel from adjusting each layer to my liking I took a color sample from her skirt and made a new Screen layer with that layer. Then I took another color sample from the greenery in the foreground and made another screen layer. Then I erased the center to make a vignette with that subtle green color. Both SCREEN layers were adjusted between 5-15% opacity.

That's about it! Hope it works out for you!

My she has grown up and a darling she is. I'm sure you have lots of fun photographing her. My son who just turned 2 (who i love to photograph) is more interested to see what i do with the camera than sit in front of it.
Thanks a lot for sharing the technique used in the first picture. The video was very useful. May i know what type of layer the black and white adjustment layer was. Thanks a lot!

Great pics, as usual! The post processing on this one really caught my eye, do you mind sharing what you did to it?

Thanks! The youtube video I learned that technique from is posted in the quote below. I saved it as an action and tweak it with each individual shot. Hope that helps!

Thanks! I believe that layer was an exposure layer?

One from today. I used the same action from the video. I just tweaked it until I liked it.

Thanks a lot! I guess i didn't ask my question properly i meant to ask what the blending mode was for the black and white layer. Because when i use this with a normal blending mode i somehow don't get the colors back like how you do with the first photograph. Am i doing something wrong? Sorry for loading you with questions!

The blending mode is normal at 50% opacity. Just mess with the opacity, turn the layers on and off to see what you get.
