Hi,

Sometimes i take pictures at hi iso, 6400-12800, ye its a mess of noise, but it doesn't bother me. I only worried about one thing, purple dot at the bottom of photo. Take a look:

This whole black bag is black, but at the bottom its purple O_o

You can see better on uncleaned raw:

so, my question is, do you all have a lot of noise at the bottom of photo on hi iso? Or my sensor is bad?

It's not that it's happening just at the bottom of the frame - per say. It's just most obvious in areas that are underexposed or in this case, the black bag.

I think at ISO 12800, this is to be expected. There are ways to compensate and reduce the appearance of noise. One way is to push the histogram to the right - Overexpose the shot slightly but without losing detail in the highlights. Then, bringing it back down in post processing. Also, touching up your photo with noise reduction will go along ways.

I think this is perfectly normal when shooting at ISO 12800. Like the poster above said, it's just more obvious in black areas. So no worries, your camera is fine! Go out and have fun with it ;)

It's normal - poor lighting, it's underexposed, and lots of black. The ISO performance is great on the 5D Mark II but it's not going to perform miracles. In the EXIF data it says you used a 50mm f1.4. If you shot at f1.4, you probably could have shot at around 1/60 to 1/100 and easily been able to exposure compensate by +1/2 or +2/3.

This might help you to understand noise a little bit. http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/image-noise-2.htm (external link)
