i shot most of the show w/ my 16-35, but also used my 35 and 85 primes (my 50 is still kaput and i've been too lazy to send it to fix). i didn't even bother w/ the 24-70, and used the 70-200 when shooting from the house.
even though the lights cycle fast, i would stick w/ manual, and use burst mode (something i don't usually do, but it worked pretty well here). AI Servo for sure, too.
i didn't even bother trying to get any isolated shots of the guitarists...if they wandered into the frame, that's fine. the show is all about Alexis.
one thing to note...the pit was narrow (so she could interact w/ the fans at the rail easier), and there was a wooden staircase that allowed her to get into the crowd at the end of the show, and then back on stage. because of that staircase, it was difficult to move around it, so i just stayed put on that side.
