I check this website everyday, but it is always out of stock.

Thanks

Yes, I did. And a 70-200/2.8 as well.

You just need to keep checking.

Put it in your wish list and check a couple times daily. I had a few things in there that were added and sold out within hours/minutes. I'm hoping when i have the funds, that a 70-200 2.8 pops up and they have a 20% coupon code to use. lol

Usually, how long do you wait to see your favorite available?

It's hit or miss. I had a speedlight 430 II on my list and according to the pricewatch site it was up that morning but gone shortly after. I saw a lense in the AM one day and by the time lunch came around it was marked as sold out. Same thing with a 1.4 converter a week or so back.

see several vendors selling the lens at $1399, but most of them are deactivated. 1399 is acceptable, particularly when I saw the on ebay the second hand ones can very easily go to 12xx or higher.

You can always just write a script (e.g. LWP under Perl) that visits the refurb site to check for lens(es) in-stock and get alerted as appropriate, then run it as a cron job.

That would be great if I can be notified in time, but do you think it will show up soon? I am kind of losing my patience.
