Hi to all.
I have a problem with mine 5d classic. It stopped shutting. My back LCD display is illuminated but nothing on, print led and card writing led is always on and those three things doesn't shut down, only can be shut down if the battery is out. When I turn camera on upper display works (all functions work) and shows all functions except remaining picture count. Af works fine and locks but the shutter is not working. Tried to reset it with main buttery and small clock buttery but still the same. I can't enter in menu to reset the camera settings. Any ides?
Can the cf card slot be the problem?

If you've tried another fully-charged battery & another CF card there is not a lot left you can do other than send it to a repair center. If you're suspecting the CF cardslot, shine a decent amount of light in there and have a look at all of the pins, it's possible for pins to get bent and also possible that bent pins could touch other circuitry which would be a bad thing...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

this doesn't sound good, could you keep us informed of what happens when you get your new battery?

Did you take the lens off and check to see if perhaps the mirror fell off?
