I got the recommended one along with my 70-300L, and it fits the lens great...but the hood, not at all. I also have the same issue with my 17-55, I kind of created my own rig with some nylon cord and a carabiner to create a loop I can string the hoods through, but it isn't that elegant of a solution. Has anyone else figured out another idea? Cameras: 7D2, S100
