This is a composite of 3 shots each one at ISO 100, 2.5 sec and f/4. It was shot just after the sun had set so there was still a little blue in the sky. There was one volley that lit up the lake like daylight and really grounded the shot for me. Comments/critiques are welcome!

James

Suprisingly good fous for f/4! And good compositing too!

Great shot. The lit up foreground is great, making the shot very interesting with lots to look at but not to distracting from the main show. Only thing that i can see doing is maybe photoshop the bright LCD screen in the middle/bottom from the camera. Its a tad distracting.

I shot this at 17mm - everything from about 10 ft until infinity will be in focus. If I would have had a 2.8 wide angle lens I would have used it wide open.

I really like this shot - very well done. You have the color, shaprness, and a unique perspective seldom seen in fireworks shots.

I really like it too.

Maybe try something like this?
Made a fast crop and sloppy removal - just to illustrate the idea.

Osh -

I like the crop, but kinda like the fireworks off center a bit. I may have to revisit this shot - thanks for the ideas!

If I cropped it I think I'd have cut out the right hand edge - perhaps making a square image.
