Can some one with an Elinchrom Ranger RX please help?

I am trying to confirm the guide number of this unit with actual tests so I'm asking if anyone with an Elinchrom Ranger RX (and an accurate exposure meter) can test it?

Test Conditions:
Distance = 3m/10 feet
ISO = 100
Meter = Please use 1/125 sec (it shouldn't matter as long as it's not set to a very short speed), incident reading
Power = Full, allowing ample time to recharge
Reflector = Standard 48 degree
NOT in a narrow hallway with white walls, any medium/large sized room will do.

The Elinchrom manual (from Elinchroms web site) suggests an aperture reading slightly under F22 at 3m/10 feet (F64 at 1m according to the manual, but I think this is wrong, a 'typo'). Although I can't find the guide number on Elinchroms site every other place says the guide number is 128, if F64 at 2m.

The manual is correct for a bare head, no reflector: f64.1 @ 6.6' (2 m), ISO 100.

I verified that with a Minolta VI using the flat receptor and no room interference.

I can give you any reading you want with a Maxi or Maxi Spot. I don't own a standard reflector.

The Technical Data on page 12 of the manual from the Elinchrom web site ( http://elinchrom.s3.am​azonaws.com …anger_rx_speed_​as_eng.pdf ) states F64 at 1m with a standard 48 degree reflector. Is this different to your manual?Am I reading it wrong?

NO, that's what the manual reads.

I think it's an oversight that hasn't been corrected since few read the manual and a Guide Number is pretty old school. Most here wouldn't know what it means, much less rely on it.

Thanks. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. Clearly reading the manual was the mistake, as all males would know anyway...
