If not, its a very interesting exercise. it gives you a glimpse in to the possibilities of a true very high dynamic range sensor. of course the shots still end up looking unrealistic, but its quite amazing to see the extended dynamic range in a single shot as the exposure slider now allows a 10 stop adjustment. all the tools work on it, and it allows for very powerful and noise free editing. again, the results can have the HDR look to them, as one quickly sees how the results are impossible. here are a couple of examples processed from 2 years ago.
I combined the images in photomatix without processing in to a 32 bit tiff file (have to click on enable 32 bit intermediary step, and just save the file). imported and processed in LR, using global as well as local adjustments.
this first one turned out a little more HDR ish, with some color shift. not really to my liking
this one a little better.
But I wonder, if the dynamic range improves another 2 stops from the current top of the line exmor 14 stop sensor, we would have the tendency of creating more High dynamic range images which look unrealistic.
