Thanks, I did struggle a bit with the shallow depth of field a x2-3 as well as shooting through the microcontrollers glass cover but got there in the end.

Really cool shot, and really well taken. The lighting is perfectly even, with no reflections. I'm amazed that you could get that much detail through the glass cover. The ones I've played with all seem to have a bit of a concave inner surface that distorts the view of the die.

From an "artsy" perspective, I like the little highlights on the bond wires.

Thanks, I used a Canon MT-24EX flash for the first time on this. It took quite a few attempts to ensure there were no reflections.
