Awesome shots Peter. Is the 2nd type of Junco? The ones i have down this way look very similar but i know you get a lot of the really pretty birds in your neck of the woods :D

Lucky you at least you saw it person already me not even once yet. Steller's jay and northern flicker are always in my backyard. I saw a scrub jay once only and that was 2010 I think.

I guess maybe I am the lucky one on the Cardinals. I have not taken a picture of him, but we have one that sits in the neighbors yard every morning and serenades me while I let the dogs out.
Maybe I need to break out the 70-200 and get a shot of him this weekend. Hopefully before the sun makes it full appearance since he is usually right between me and sunrise.
I guess I just need to take some pictures and see how it goes.

Love the processing on the grapes PKilla. The bokeh gives it an other-wordly feel.

Lol indeed you are Ron. I am waiting for my new lens (refurb) schedule to arrive on Wednesday but I opted for location pick up near my work I am hoping it will arrive Monday or Tuesday to that location.

Can't wait to see that cardinal.
