I did, I just got a chuckle out of the irony.

Good pic, a bit to saturated to me though, but it works here to outline the various colors. I wish the sky wasn't washed out though.

Ya me too.. It was almost impossible for me to get a good sky combined with a good terrain.. I didn't have a tripod so I couldnt do an HDR. Or even layer an under exposed image for the sky over a correctly exposed one. There was almost no clouds in the sky either kinda wished there were some.. I tried though.. Next time I'll take the mkII to see if i can get a better image since I'll have better ISO sensitivity. Buy still need to take a tripod regardless.. An image like this would have to take me some time to do it correctly and I was just snapping pics as I moved on with the family through the mountain. I did a bit of work to bring back the sky a bit using curves. Thx for the input

I do HDR's without a tripod all the time, I just put it in high speed burst mode and snap 3 bracketed shots in a row. 60D is plenty fast enough to get the photos together, just need a somewhat steady hand.

Here's some handheld HDR shots. Remember high speed bracket mode.

Here is a handheld HDR Panorama, 9 or 12 exposures I think?

Isaac if you have both Lightroom and photoshop and wants to do a quick HDR out of one image in LR you can make 3 virtual copies then edit them to photoshop with HDR then few more steps in photoshop. That is what I do if I like a subject to try for HDR. But of course as much possible I like to so HDR on site with a tripod sometimes handheld.
