OK I took about 140 images [highest quality JPEGS] in say 40 minutes on Single shot AF. I was using a 430 Mk II in wireless mode with an 8:1 ratio with the inbuilt flash. I was using a 16GB Sandisk Extreme 60 MBPS CF card.
I had previously taken about 1400 photos on the card and say 20 mins total of video clips say 6, and copied them to my laptop and deleted the images on the CF card [from the laptop] but not Formatted the card - in case that affects things?
Stupidly I forgot to check if the Flash was holding things up as I was in a megga rush.
1. Is this normal?
2. Is it the card limiting it?
3. or the 430 Flash, or could the flash batteries be too run down, I had taken about 100 images before it happened? They are 2000mAh eneloops.
4. Or could it be the 7D's onboard Flash getting too hot?. [nb I wasn't using continuous just single shot Af].
Any views or advice - not really a big issue unless there is something wrong with the camera - NB it was fairly warm day.
