you have better turtle pictures throw these out.....you could have made this about the flower...


So if God made Man & Woman....whats his excuse for Nikon...

In the first image one the turtle is not obvious and could be confused with a lilly flower bud. In the second the turtle is relatively small and does not look very "interesting". It got a washed out spot on its head and the white of the flowers also seems washed out. Focus is soft, but that might be the compression or the crop.
The image does not contain any EXIF info (neither on Flickr) so I cannot comment on the various parameters. A different seting (for exposure and DOF) might have helped to improve.
